Each den typically spawns a handful of creatures, giving players a random chance to spot the coveted star icon.
For the ultimate completionist challenge, players will need to venture into dangerous territories to find advanced magical beasts. The single Unicorn den located in the northern forest requires patience due to its limited spawn rate. Meanwhile, the powerful Graphorns can only be found in the southeastern corner of Clagmar Coast after completing their associated story trial.
Effective Farming Techniques
Since the appearance of a shiny beast is entirely dependent on random generation, players can utilize a specific map reset technique to speed up the process. If a den does not contain the variant you want, rescue all the present creatures to clear out the habitat space entirely. After clearing the den, open your map menu and use the wait function to advance the in-game time from day to night, or vice versa.
Once time has advanced, fast travel away to a distant Floo Flame location and save your current progress. Returning to the den will force the game to generate a completely new batch of magical creatures. Repeating this cycle ensures a steady rotation of spawns, allowing you to gradually secure both male and female shiny variants for your vivariums.
